Vegetation management should leave a site safer, usable and ready for its next purpose. We carry out selective clearance, restoration and ongoing site management for estates, commercial land, civil works, conservation projects and development sites across Jersey.
Work can include
- Scrub, bramble and undergrowth clearance
- Selective removal of trees and shrubs
- Access route and boundary clearance
- Processing of timber and vegetation on site
- Preparation for planting, construction or future management
- Phased maintenance to prevent rapid regrowth
Planned around the site
We do not treat every site as a complete clearance exercise. Before work begins, we identify what should be retained, check access and ground conditions, consider neighbouring land and agree how arisings will be managed.
Working with ecology in mind
Development sites often have ecological requirements that need to be understood before clearance starts. We work alongside appointed ecologists and follow the agreed ecological method statements, protection zones and mitigation measures for the project.
Our team also carries out site inspections before work begins and continues to check the working area as clearance progresses. If nesting birds, protected species or other wildlife concerns are identified, work is paused or adjusted and further advice is obtained where required.
This approach allows the clearance programme and working methods to be adapted so that wildlife is protected and the agreed mitigation measures are properly followed throughout the work.
Depending on the scale and sensitivity of the site, the work may use hand tools, chippers, excavators, tractors, grabs or other specialist machinery. The method is chosen to suit the ground and the required finish.
