Tree work often leaves useful timber that does not need to be treated as waste. Our log splitting service turns suitable stems and larger branches into practical firewood sizes for stacking and seasoning.
On site processing
We can cross cut timber to an agreed length and split it using mechanical equipment. This is useful where a client wants to retain timber from work on their own property or where large volumes need to be processed efficiently.
Before starting, we check access, timber size, condition and the space available for machinery and stacking. The final log size can be agreed to suit the intended stove, fireplace or storage arrangement.
Using more of the tree
Where timber is sound and large enough, sawmilling may be a better option for selected sections. Remaining material can then be split for firewood or processed as agreed.
